Achingly Uplifting

Brent Funkhouser’s style of achingly uplifting songwriting was born out of the river bends and mountain hollows of Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley. His songwriting displays influence from classics like Tom Petty, americana contemporaries like Jason Isbell, and Texas/red dirt songsters like Turnpike Troubadours, filtered through his mountain poet voice. The singer-songwriter has performed to hundreds of attentive audiences in nine states, opening for award-winning artists such as Judy Collins and Phil Vassar along the way.
